Wildwood offers ministries for every type of person from infants to senior adults. Not only are these areas where you can be served, but we also invite you to minister along side of us as we seek to glorify God with the talents and gifts He has given each of us.
We provide a fun environment for your little ones (birth - 2 years) to enjoy during Life Groups and the worship gathering on Sundays. Our ladies can't wait to love on them!
We have Kidz Groups for kids ages 3 through 5th grade, where they will participate in creative, interactive, age-appropriate experiences in learning about God during our 9:30 AM Life Group time on Sundays.
WildKIDZ Church goes on during our main worship gathering on Sundays at 10:45 AM (for kids ages 4 - th grade). It includes a wide range of activities such as skits, games, music and more! Our WildKIDZ service, led by our Children's Director Tricia Harris, teaches kids life-changing Biblical truths while helping them understand how Jesus is Lord.
Bible Boot Camp
Wednesdays at 6:45 PM your kids are going to have a ton of fun learning about the Bible in what we call Bible Boot Camp! We mix together fun activities into a Bible Drill that will help your little ones learn a ton about the Bible.
We are currently seeking a youth minister. If you have questions about the youth ministry please email Pastor Rick below
"Helping teens become fully functioning followers of Christ through unconditional acceptance, authentic relationships, and biblical teaching."
Our youth ministry is a family for 6th-12th grade students to belong and be accepted while they are going through the challenging and difficult teen years. We pursue an atmosphere of acceptance and diversity as we honor that God has uniquely designed each person differently for His glory.
Sunday Morning Life Group
We meet at 9:30 am to grow in our relationship with God and one another. During this hour, we lift up one another and learn how God's Word applies to our lives in relevant and practical ways.
Wednesday Night Gathering
On Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm, our focus is on connecting in meaningful and fun ways. We get to know one another in a variety of ways through food, playing games, worship, and discussing God's Word.
There are lots of other events that take place outside of normal church times. We have a great time enjoying movie nights, game nights, service projects, weekend retreats, mission trips, and summer camp.
Our young adults calls themselves FOTU, which stands for "Fellowship of the Unashamed." This is a fast growing area of ministry for us. It consists mainly of young adults in their late teens and twenties.
Sunday Morning Life Group
Our young adults meet at 9:45 am to study and discuss God's Word and its application in our lives. The group is loosely structured with a variety of teachers from within the group to other adults in the church. Studies are based on open discussion and interaction among everyone present. All questions are welcome and treated with respect and dignity.
Living on Mission
This group of millennials is not content with a "should of" or "ought to" type of faith. Instead, they put their faith in action within the church and community. One week out of the month they minister to residents at a local nursing home where they show genuine love by playing bingo, providing for practical needs, or just being an attentive ear. One Sunday a month they take over our children's ministry to give our normal teachers and ministers a reprieve. On top of these ministries, they are constantly looking for ways to show the Gospel to people through practical service. This sometimes means they are out mowing yards, cleaning out flower beds, or moving furniture. They are always looking for ways to bless others and share the wonderful joy of Christ.
Kevin and Sandra Stewart
"The Best" group is made up of a wide range of ages that range anywhere from 30's to 50's. They are truly a family and are active in many ministries in the church. Some serve as deacons, worship team leaders, nursery and children's workers, and can always be counted on to bless those in need with a great home cooked meal. One Sunday out of the month they serve in a concentrated fashion in our children's ministry to provide a much needed break for the normal ministers.
"The Greatest" group is mainly composed of adults who are 50+. They are faithful and active in many ministries at the church, including Kid's Beach Club, upkeep of the building and grounds, and sewing ministries. They are full of life and love to serve God and others. They regularly with ideas for new ministries and ways we can improve existing ministries. They are blessing to everyone they come in contact with.
The Sunshine group is composed of senior saints who are on fire for the Lord. They are not slowing down in their love for God. They are faithful prayer warriors and encouragers to others. They are great example of Christian living through the different stages of life. You can't meet with them without leaving with a smile. They are a true blessing from God!
The Joy group is exactly what their name suggests: they are a joy to everyone they encounter. The group is composed of senior adult women, many of whom are widows. They love the Word of God and faithfully study and live it out. They are lively and young at heart in their passion for living for God.
Our sewing ministry is a relatively new ministry at the church that was started after MaryAnn asked Pastor Rick about how she and some of the other ladies in the church could use their talents and gifts in ministering to others. After some prayer, the idea for the sewing ministry was born. Now, there are over a dozen ladies that contribute to this ministry in a variety of ways. The sewing team uses their gifts and skills to minister inside and outside the church walls. Some of their projects have included making curtains for the church, making gift bags for guests, putting together costumes for VBS, preparing Bible covers for Kids Beach Club, and sewing hats, blankets, and scarves for the homeless.
Our goal in worship is to help fellow believers grow by unifying them in God's truth through the use of creative arts. Our worship ministry incorporates various parts including instrumental, vocal, and audio/visual ministries. The men and women who serve in worship ministry sacrifice much time each week to honor and glorify God with their gifts and talents entrusted to them. They prayerfully and compassionately prepare us each week to fellowship with God.
Wildwood is very active in the local community. We do a wide variety of things to show and share the Gospel with those around us in our community. We try our best to make every department of our church active in outreach from the Children's Department to Youth to Worship.
A few of the outreach ministries and activities we currently have at Wildwood are:
KiDs Beach Club
Mesquite Tree Nursing Home
